Request for Public Comment: Public Comment Period Open for Operating Standard C-6 Health Promotion: Evidence-Based and C-7 Health Promotion: Non-Evidence-Based for Service Programs

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services-Health Services, Bureau of Aging, Community Living, and Supports (ACLS Bureau), has updated the Disease Prevention/Health Promotion and the Health Screening operating standards.

The purpose of this update is to clarify language, delineate between evidence-based and non-evidence-based health promotion activities, and comply with federal rules.

Public comment is open from April 17, 2026, to May 17, 2026. Please submit comments via email to Kayla Smith at smithk138@michigan.gov.
