June 2, 2025 - NOTICE: The Eat Safe Fish Program has released the 2025 Eat Safe Fish Guides. You can find these guides on the Find Your Area page.
New Do Not Eat Advisories for Southwest Michigan
September 10, 2025 - NOTICE: Due to high levels of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), the Eat Safe Fish Program has issued new Do Not Eat Advisories for all fish caught from:
- Hopewell Indian Mounds Pond in Wyoming.
- Luvis Lake in Grandville.
- Porter Lake in Grandville.
- Spelman Lake located at the Wyoming Clean Water Plant.
No one should eat fish listed as Do Not Eat, regardless of age or health. Eating even one meal of fish from the waterbodies listed above could possibly lead to health problems in the future.
