Madison Heights Physical Therapist has License Summarily Suspended
January 25, 2010
The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has immediately suspended the physical therapist license of Ritesh Manojkumar Vaidya, P.T., based on his conviction in the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Macomb County, Michigan.
On Oct. 16, 2009, Vaidya, 29, was convicted of one count of criminal sexual conduct 4th degree, a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for a maximum term of two years. As a result, Vaidya was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail (with credit for two days) and placed on probation for a period of five years with terms.
On Jan. 15, 2010, MDCH issued an order summarily suspending Vaidya's license pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional's license upon the conviction of a felony, a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for a maximum term of two years, or a controlled substance-related conviction.
