Available Internet Discount Programs
The Affordable Connectivity Program is no longer accepting new applications or enrollments as of February 7, 2024. Consumers who currently participate in the program are expected to continue to receive their full ACP benefit until the program ends on April 30, 2024.
Individuals who qualified for the ACP benefit may be eligible for another Federal Communications Commission program called Lifeline. Lifeline is both a state and federal program that provides discounts on telecommunications and broadband service to certain qualifying low-income customers. Eligible low-income consumers can receive monthly discounts on their voice telephone and broadband services. Qualified consumers can get up to $9.25 off the cost of phone, internet, or bundled services (up to $34.25 if they live on qualifying Tribal lands).
Additional information about the Lifeline program and additional telecommunication resources can be found can be found on the Michigan Public Service Commission website: https://www.michigan.gov/mpsc/consumer/telecommunications/lifeline
