Training

The following training resources have been developed or updated:

Providing Residential Services in Community Settings Training Manual

This is a basic training curriculum including a training guide with readings and  return demonstrations for trainees. The curriculum materials are also aimed at the expanding range of community residential settings, including staff working in supported independent placements, and for adult foster care staff training initiatives.

Approximately 2,800 training guides have been distributed statewide to CMH Training Units and for staff working in approximately 1,550 specialized homes, and an additional 3,000 adult foster care settings. A videotape series is being produced to support this curriculum.

Please Note: This training manual is now available in electronic format, see the links below.  If you are unable for any reason to download and print the manual, provide the URL address below in blue to your local copy center or printer, they will be able to quote a price to print and three hole punch the manual for you.
