Michigan Track-Kit
Learn more about Track-Kit
Track-Kit™ is Michigan’s secure, cloud-based sexual assault evidence kit tracking system. Medical facilities, law enforcement agencies, and forensic laboratories enter anonymous information about kits into Track-Kit™. Prosecutors have a view-only portal where they can track the progress of kits in their jurisdiction. Survivors can track their kit and access additional information through the survivor portal. Track-Kit™ is free for system users and survivors, is available 24/7, and can be accessed using any device that has internet access.
The Michigan State Police Track-Kit™ Policy Center is responsible for the administration of the system.
The Compliance Center is housed in the Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention Treatment Board. The Compliance Center monitors organizations’ compliance with the deadlines detailed in Michigan’s Sexual Assault Kit Evidence Submission Act 227. At the beginning of 2025, Track-Kit™ will generate its first annual state compliance report for each organization participating in Track-Kit™.
The following information is for organizational Track-Kit™ users and does not apply to the survivor portal. For information on the survivor portal, please click here.
