Early Interventionist - My Role

Early intervention professionals play a crucial role in supporting children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) and their families, fostering optimal development and quality of life. The early interventionist works to ensure all infants who are DHH receive early intervention services no later than 6 months of age.

Early interventionists play a critical role in this process with specific responsibilities:

  • Family Engagement and Education
  • Coordination with Service Providers
  • Timely Early Intervention Service Delivery
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Professional Development and Collaboration
  • Objective Hearing Screening for all children referred for Early Intervention
