Unit 3: Supporting Recovery and Protective Factors for Young Children
Goal: Develop the ability to support recovery and protective factors for young children.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the social emotional skills that young children need.
- Define five protective factors for children and families.
- Define ideas that families/professionals can use to deal with toxic stress and trauma.
This unit contains links to presentations by experts about supporting recovery and protective factors for young children. The links include power point presentations and video presentations. You may choose to view some or all of the presentations.
The length of time for each presentation is noted below. The time needed for this unit is 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. Questions are provided at the end to help you test your knowledge.
