Tue 5/21/2019 4:47 PM

Hello Colleagues,

The Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (Family Center) would like to share the job posting of a Parent Consultant position!

An important role of the Family Center is to provide support, information, and connections to educational opportunities and community resources available to families who are navigating systems of care and services for children and youth with special needs. The Parent Consultant is a statewide leader; providing family perspectives on the successes and challenges faced by parents raising a child(ren) with special health care needs. The Parent Consultant will participate in meetings, site visits, conferences, and community forums, as well as be actively involved in a multitude of Family Center trainings, programming and other opportunities.

The Family Center promotes coordinated systems of care that are family-centered, culturally competent and community-based by providing consultation related to programming, policies, direct family support initiatives, community education, and parent-professional partnerships.

If you know an excellent candidate who has personal experience as a parent or guardian of a child or youth with special health care needs, please encourage them to apply. Please see http://www.semha.org/ for the full job description and additional details.

Thank you,

Candi
