System Releases
To ensure WIC systems are operating proficiently, scheduled releases allow for bug fixes, system changes mandated by USDA and enhancements necessary for improved functionality. Release notes are used to describe the contents of scheduled MI-WIC Releases and the enhancements most pertinent to the local agencies. Here you will find Release Notes, presentations and links to archived release webcasts.

Release 9.13.2 (February 2026)
Release Highlights:
- Food package updates
- Food packages that have customizations applied will save all customizations made in multiple food package rows.
- Food packages that have moved to history will display customizations.
- Correction to oz of whole grains on future benefits, restoring to assigned amount by category.
- Food package names have been updated to remove the “NPP” and “BE Max” prefix. They will display Food Package VI and Food Package VII, respectively. For 1.5x functionality to work, cache must be cleared.
- Issues with custom formulas disappearing from food packages have been resolved.
- All clients with a standard Placeholder Food Package who aren’t prescribed a unique package mentioned in Phase 1 will be mapped to the new standard food package for their category, including mapping all infant 6-11 month food packages.
- Clinic module updates
- Issues with notes not opening in pop-up view have been resolved
- Issues with a MI-WIC user being able to access an unassigned clinic have been resolved
- Care Plan screen EDD and ADD inconsistencies have been resolved so the system pulls the client’s current EDD and ADD instead of the previous dates
- “In-Stock” card status is now available in the drop down menu when entering an EBT card range in a clinic

- Creation of new food packages in compliance with final food rule.
- New food package customization functionality to allow substitutions for juice, eggs, milk, peanut butter/beans, and infant fruits and vegetables for women’s and children’s food package effective 3/1/2026.
- CPA staff will need to replace the placeholder package with a new food package starting March 1 or after for all Children and Women categories. Please refer to Stand Food Package Changes Document for Food Package numbers and corresponding client categories.
- New food packages for infants 6-11 months (food packages will labeled with infant’s age and MO in parentheses, e.g., IFF Standard Infant Formula PWD (6-11 MO)) to allow for CVB to be substituted for none, half or all infant fruit and vegetables. The CVB amounts will be 0, $11, or $22.
