Materials for Kids & Educators

It's never too early to start learning! Let's teach our children the importance of taking care of our water sources.  It is critical for the health of generations to come.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS): MDHHS has developed activity worksheets and booklets to raise awareness about drinking water:

Enviroscape

MDHHS offers learning lessons with our Enviroscape model. The MI Water Source! Enviroscape Learning Lesson aims to raise awareness on the importance of water and protecting your health. This lesson uses an interactive 3D model to demonstrate how everyday activities can contribute to water pollution and contamination. The program highlights how these activities can impact water sources used for drinking, such as surface water and groundwater. Through this demonstration, students will learn how to reduce those impacts and protect our health.

This activity is best conducted with children ages five to 14 years old and a guardian or teacher. The program will be modified depending on the average age of the audience members.

This lesson can range from 5 minutes to 20 minutes in length, depending on the need.

You can find out more about the Enviroscape and request a learning lesson by calling MDHHS 800-648-6942.
